Two-day adventure package in Rovaniemi: Snowmobile, Father Christmas, Ranua Park and Northern Lights
Two-day adventure tour in Rovaniemi: snowmobiles, Santa Claus Village, Ranua Wildlife Park and the northern lights
Day 1: Snowmobile experience, Father Christmas village, visit to the huskies and reindeer and search for the Northern Lights.
On the first day, you will be picked up in Rovaniemi and transferred to the snowmobile park where you will be provided with appropriate winter clothing for your experiences. At 11am, you will set off on an unforgettable snowmobile journey through the forests of the Arctic Circle to traditional husky and reindeer farms. On arrival, these adorable animals will be introduced to you, along with a formal introduction to their way of life. After the presentation, you can experience the thrill of a sleigh ride with reindeer and huskies. Hot tea and biscuits will be offered inside a private hut to keep you warm. Afterwards, you'll take a snowmobile ride back to Santa's Village. You'll have free time to admire the site, cross the Arctic Circle and, who knows, visit Santa himself. At around 16:00, you will be driven home to rest before setting off in search of the Northern Lights. The search will last around 2 hours and the guides will target the best spots in the Arctic Circle region. The return journey is included and the guides will take you home afterwards.
Day 2: Polar bears and Arctic animals.
Early on the second day, at around 9.30 am, the guides will pick you up and take you to the village of Ranua, where you will visit the animal park. Ranua Wildlife Park is the most northerly zoo in the world. This Arctic zoo is unique not only for its location but also for the local animals that live in the area. You can admire polar bears and 50 other Arctic species! The zoo is the perfect place to learn about the indigenous Arctic wildlife. The visit to the zoo will last around 2 hours and you'll have free time for lunch if you need it. At the end of the visit, you will be transferred to your accommodation in Rovaniemi.
Please note: To drive a snowmobile, you must hold a valid driving licence (class B). Children and adults without a driving licence can take part in the safari by sitting on the sled.
