Warner Bros Studios - The Making of Harry Potter
Discover the magic behind the special effects and explore the secrets behind the scenes in the Harry Potter films with this spellbinding tour of Warner Brothers studios and the Harry Potter set.
Highlights
- The magic behind the scenes
- Pre-production sketches
- Sensational model of Hogwarts Castle
- Discovering all the Harry Potter secrets
Walk on the original stone floor of Hogwarts Great Hall, visit Dumbledore's office, walk through Diagon Alley, see the model of Hogwarts Castle and taste some butterbeer. This is the ultimate adventure for fans of the young wizard.
All eight films were produced in these studios, and you can relive the magic through the eyes of the directors who brought Harry Potter to life. See the Backlot where the Knight Bus and Hagrid's motorbike are located. Attend a lesson in the Potions Room, visit the Weasley family and the Burrow and ride a broom in front of the green screen.
In the Art Department, admire the detailed drawings that were used in pre-production and learn how pencil drawings were transformed into beautiful paintings with a digital paintbrush, while the model of the room blows you away. See the sensational model of Hogwarts Castle. The level of detail is breathtaking: real plants are used for the landscape design, miniature birds can be found in the Owlery, and there are over 2,500 fibre optic lights simulating lanterns and torches.
In the studio shop, you will find film memorabilia everywhere: the display cabinet and cash desk are inspired by the Gringotts Bank set, and you can see items such as Bertie Bott's Every Flavour sweets, chocolate frogs as well as Hogwarts school robes, ties and more.
Enter the Forbidden Forest - New!
The Forbidden Forest may be impenetrable to Hogwarts students, but for the first time this March, visitors are invited to disobey Professor Dumbledore and follow in the footsteps of Harry, Ron and Hermione. Home to many creatures, it offers shelter and protection to Hippogriffs as well as Acromantulas, among others. See one of Hagrid's costumes on display, with a lantern in hand, to welcome visitors to Hogwarts, deep in the forest. With 19 trees, each over 3.5 metres in diameter, try your hand at walking on the giant, intertwined roots and learn how to control time using the same techniques created by the filmmakers.
