Your detailed itinerary

Day 1: Florence - Lucca region

Arrive at Florence airport and pick up your rental car. Set off to your hotel located in the Lucca region. Suggested visits: the historical and university city of Pisa, several kilometres from the coast, where you will see the famous Leaning Tower and the Cathedral, famous for its pulpit, paintings and mosaics. Free time at dinner followed by an overnight stay at your hotel in the Lucca region.

Day 2: Lucca - Pistoia - Prato

Day (including breakfast and meals) free to spend how you choose. Suggested visits: in the morning, discover the Roman and medieval city of Pistoia with its beautiful Romanesque and Gothic churches. Next, explore Sant'Andrea, the jewel in the city's architectural crown. Sightseeing continues in the city of Prato, world-renowned for its manufacture of fabrics, rich architecture and tasty almond biscuits. Free time at dinner followed by an overnight stay at your hotel in the Lucca region.

Day 3: Lucca - Montecatini

Day (including breakfast and meals) free to spend how you choose. Suggested visits: Montecatini: visit the city and thermal spa. The thermal waters of Montecatini have been appreciated since ancient times. Discover the liberty-style thermal baths in the quiet little spa town and go on a looped hike to the hilltop village of Montecatini Alto. Continue on to Lucca: don't miss the Duomo and church of San Michele, both in Roman-Pisan style, and the church of San Frediano. Free time at dinner followed by an overnight stay at your hotel in the Lucca region.

Day 4: Lucca - Cinque Terre region

Breakfast and departure for the Cinque Terre region. Suggested sightseeing: stop off in Carrara to see the marble quarries and Academy of Fine Arts, housed in the old Malaspina Castle. Sightseeing continues in the charming port city of Lerici. Free time at dinner followed by an overnight stay at your hotel in the Cinque Terre region.

Day 5: Explore Cinque Terre

Day (including breakfast and meals) free to spend how you choose. Suggested visit: an intense day that starts with a visit to Monterosso before heading to Vernazza by train, the pearl of Cinque Terre. Visit the village and church of Santa Margherita d'Antiochia. Continue to Riomaggiore before returning to Monterosso by train for lunch. In the afternoon, head off on a stunning cruise around Cinque Terre to discover the five cliffside villages from the sea. Free time at dinner followed by an overnight stay at your hotel in the Cinque Terre region.

Day 6: Explore more of Cinque Terre

Day (including breakfast and meals) free to spend how you choose. Suggested visits: spending a second day exploring the cliffside villages of Cinque Terre is recommended. Free time at dinner followed by an overnight stay at your hotel in the Cinque Terre region.

Day 7: Cinque Terre - Florence

Breakfast, then drive to Florence airport to return your rental car.

Category B car rental (Fiat Panda or equivalent) for the duration of the stay, i.e. 7 days.

This price does not include:
- fuel, any parking costs
- fines (fines will be billed directly by the rental company)

Car rental terms & conditions:
- Drivers must be at least 18 years old (a young driver supplement is payable on arrival for drivers up to 24 years old)

- Your driving licence must have at least 1 year's validity
- A different type of car with a similar engine may be provided


PLEASE NOTE:
- The main driver's full name must be provided in order to rent a vehicle. Any change or modification in the name of the main driver after confirmation will incur an administrative fee (please read all the information concerning car rental).
- The main driver must be over 25 years old.
- Age limit: 69 years old
- A credit card in the name of the main driver with access to sufficient funds to cover the security deposit will be required, VISA or MASTERCARD only. (Please note: AMEX and debit cards are not accepted).
- You must show your passport.
- The vehicle must be returned with a full tank of fuel.
- You must be able to produce a valid driving licence and keep it on you during your stay.

Good to know

We recommend avoiding very early flights so you can travel to the airport without having to rush. The drive takes about 90 minutes.

The mileage is given for information purposes only and may vary depending on your chosen routes.

If you are travelling alone, you will be asked to pay a surcharge for a single room. This additional charge will be automatically included in your quote.
Child rates will be applied for children from 2 to 12 years old in the case where the child shares the room with two adults. If the child is travelling with just one adult, the surcharge may be applied on an adult basis. If your child or children do not fit into the age group mentioned above, the rate will be communicated to you at the time of processing your order. If the room is equipped with a bunk bed, the bed height is not suitable for children under 6 years of age.
For safety reasons, the wellbeing facilities of most establishments are not accessible to children under 16 years old. Similarly, it is possible that some amenities or services require an additional charge or are unavailable for exceptional reasons.
Unless otherwise stated in the service description, activities and any additional services available at destination, are provided in the language of the destination country and in English.

Travel documents

Once your reservation has been made, you will receive a confirmation e-mail before your travel documents are sent.
Regarding the transport documents (in the case of a reservation with transport included), we will provide you with all the information relating to check-in and luggage in the "Your travel documents" email, allowing you to leave with peace of mind.
To take advantage of all your reserved services (hotels, transfers, activities, etc.), you will receive one or more exchange vouchers to be presented to each supplier.
The contact details of the establishment will be specified in these documents, to help make your arrival at your destination as straight-forward as possible.

Transportation

Choose an offer and, according to your preferences, opt for a seat in economy, business or first class.

In order to best organise your time in the airport, we advise that you arrive 2 hours before boarding for a medium-haul flight, or 3 hours before boarding for a long-haul flight (more than 5 hours). Take advantage of your early arrival to pass through security and check your luggage.
You will be informed whether or not luggage is included at the time of your booking.
You will have the opportunity to add additional luggage for a fee.
There are several different cities that are typically offered as departure points. Your arrival destination will show in your travel documents.
Depending on the flight schedule, some arrivals or returns may be made at night with early arrival or late departure. You will not always be able to have your room available immediately and will need to refer to the check-in and check-out conditions of the hotel.
In the event that your transfer is not included in your hotel reservation, it may be offered at the time of your reservation as an additional option. Unless specifically mentioned, transfers may be made in groups of 15 to 55 people.
